Module 1 & 2 Foundation

In this training course, our Foundation trainer will cover Module 1 & 2 which covers Attachment and Trauma, and Trauma-Informed Care.

Module 1: Attachment and Trauma

This training module provides you with information about how attachment and trauma can impact child and adolescent development. The topics covered in this module are:

  • attachment and trauma theory
  • the brain’s responses to fear
  • dissociation
  • post-traumatic stress triggers
  • the impacts of trauma on child and adolescent development

Module 2: Trauma-Informed Practice

This training module provides you with information about how to work in a therapeutic way with children and young people who have been impacted by
trauma. The topics covered in this module are:

  • Therapeutic Model
  • Therapeutic Framework

Course Delivery and Assessment Requirements

This training is delivered virtually via Qintil. You must register with Eventbrite to be added to the virtual training session. You will receive an email confirmation closer to the date of training and another email containing the link to join the Qintil. Classroom moments before the webinar is due to commence. Individuals will be required to use their webcam and microphone to participate in the learning and assessment activities. Individuals will be required to complete an online assessment activity post the virtual session.

Individuals will be required to participate fully in all learning and assessment tasks. Therefore, individuals must ensure they do not work overnight prior to attending.

There is an allocated 30-minute unpaid break during this training. Workers will be remunerated for the time they attend plus up to 1 hour for post-training assessment activities. Remuneration and certificates will be arranged once attendance and assessment tasks have been successfully completed.
