COVID Vaccination Requirements

Local state authorities have recently made announcements regarding mandatory vaccinations which will affect some of our team members in South Australia and Western Australia.  Please read below for further information.

Western Australia

Mandatory vaccination requirement for disability workers and those attending HenderCare’s Perth office

Vaccination requirements to attend HenderCare’s Perth office from 1 November 2021
From 1 November 2021, any team member who enters HenderCare’s head office at 673 Murray St, will be required to have received at least one dose of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccination.

You must present your official Government digital COVID certificate as proof of your vaccination, as well as the booking confirmation if you’re yet to receive a second dose. Please email a copy of this to covid@hendercare.com.au. For instructions on how to download the official certificate, please click here.

Vaccination requirements for disability workers from 1 December 2021
Any HenderCare team members who provide community care services to a person with a disability from 1 December 2021, must have received their first dose of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine. The same individual must be then fully vaccinated with their second dose by 31 December 2021.

South Australia

Vaccination requirement when entering hospitals & HenderCare’s head office

Vaccination requirements for hospital settings – effective 1 November 2021
Under a Direction from SA Health, any HenderCare or HenderCare Foundation team members who enter a hospital (public or private) as a part of their duties from 1 November 2021, must have:

• Received at least one dose of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccination
• Received, or have evidence of a booking to receive a second dose of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine within one month of the first dose
• Provided the operator of the health care setting with proof of their vaccination status upon request

Vaccination requirements for HenderCare’s head office – effective 8 November 2021
Further to the above, from 8 November 2021, any team member who enters HenderCare’s head office at 81 Flinders St, will be required to have received at least one dose of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccination.

You must present your official Government digital COVID certificate as proof of your vaccination, as well as the booking confirmation if you’re yet to receive a second dose.
