Module 4: Understanding and Responding to Challenging Behaviours

This training module provides you with the necessary information to identify, understand and respond to a variety of challenging behaviours that children and young people may display. The topics to be covered in this module are:

• responding to sexualised behaviours
• sexuality and sexual health
• sex and the law
• responding to aod (alcohol and other drug) abuse

Module 5: Health & Safety – Mental Health

This training module provides you with information about how to manage and care for the mental health of children and young people. The topics to be covered in this module are:

• inter-generational mental health issues
• risk factors and protective factors
• supporting children and young people to build their social and emotional
  capacity
• relationships, contentedness and a sense of belonging

Course Delivery and Assessment Requirements

This training is delivered virtually via Qintil. You must register with Eventbrite to be added to the virtual training session. You will receive an email confirmation closer to the date of training and another email containing the link to join the Qintil Classroom moments before the webinar is due to commence. Individuals will be required to use their webcam and microphone to participate in the learning and assessment activities. Individuals will be required to complete an online assessment activity post the virtual session.

Individuals will be required to participate fully in all learning and assessment tasks. Therefore, individuals must ensure they do not work overnight prior to attending
