Modules 6 & 7 (Food, Nutrition & Supporting Health Needs)
Modules 6 and 7, will provide training on understanding the nutritional needs of children and ways in which to support the health and medical needs of children and young people.
Module 6: Food, Nutrition and Transportation
This training helps care workers understand how to safely prepare healthy and nutritious food for children and young people. Workers will also learn how to safely
transport children and young people.
Course Delivery and Assessment Requirements
This course consists of completing several online course via Qintil and attending a 15-minute car seat fitting assessment. Use the ‘Click here to register’ link to book your 15-minute car seat fitting assessment when you have completed the online training.

Module 7: Supporting Health and Medical Needs of Children and Young People
This training covers:
- responding to the medical needs of children and young people
- infection control, medication incidents / critical incidents
- medication administration and safe storage of medications
- complex medical care needs of children and young people
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’
- worker’s responsibilities under the NDIS Code of Conduct
- worker’s role in supporting people with disability to achieve identified goals
