At HenderCare, we understand the essential role that allied health professionals play in both the disability and aged care sectors.
We are thrilled to be introducing our own allied health team, led by qualified Occupational Therapist, Mandy De Cesare.
Allied health professionals provide a range of therapeutic, goal-driven and individualised services to our community to both enhance and maintain the participation, function and wellbeing of service recipients.
With service demand currently peaking across the country, HenderCare has taken the innovative step of setting up an in-house allied health service, led by experienced Occupational Therapist, Mandy De Cesare.
Having worked in disability and the community sector for many years, Mandy brings a wealth of knowledge about the sector to her role as National Allied Health Services Manager and is looking forward to helping fill the current service gap.
“With so much change in the NDIS and aged care sectors, the need for experienced and qualified allied health professionals has increased significantly. People are experiencing long wait times to see professionals, like physios and OTs” states De Cesare.
“By starting our own allied health service, we are committed to providing a responsive and high-quality service to those who need it”.
HenderCare is currently in the process of recruiting physiotherapists, psychologists, speech pathologists and occupational therapists in South Australia, with an aim to increase their allied health presence nationally in the near future.
“As a care provider, one of the biggest benefits to our service recipients will be the wrap-around service we can offer. Our allied health professionals will literally work alongside our team of client managers, coordinators and support workers, meaning we can offer a truly collaborative approach and a single contact point for the recipient.”
HenderCare is currently accepting referrals for their allied health services and registrations of interest for those based outside of South Australia.
